Let this picture move you…it recently caught me off guard. I was cruising through FaceBook catching up with the days happenings and there it was. It made me stop, and ponder.
What would my life be like without these Freedom Fighters? What if there were no brave men and women standing up for what’s right and good? Set your politics aside. Set your religious biases aside. If no one fought for freedom…no one would be free.
Today we in the U.S. celebrate our Veterans, people who gave their lives so we could live ours. We honor the survivors, and the fallen. We acknowledge the families and friends who sit next to an empty chair. We chose to respect the wounded, the broken, and those who returned whole…but changed.
Please, don’t forget them. Today is a day for remembering. What are their names? If you don’t live in the States then remember the people who have bravely stood for your freedoms. What are their names? Let me start the list:
Stanley Nash – US Air Force Captain, husband, and father.
Christine Nash, and her family – Wife of Captain Stanley Nash.
Arnold Haley – Royal Canadian Military, husband, and father.
Ellen Haley – Royal Canadian Military, wife, and mother.
Gustav Moberg – Captain of the eastern seaboard, U.S. Coast Guard, husband, and father.
Charles David Boston – U.S. Navy Seaman, husband, and father.
Shirley Boston and her family – Wife to Charles David Boston.
What name can I add for you?
